[Why bother making this page? |What the critics are saying |The request page]

Oh ya, I forgot to mention, thanks Louis Martinez for for making the main logo look more "cooler"!

One more related note: The games and emulators on this page are composed of games that are either timeless classics or have quality similar to the games that are out there for the PC or SNES. I will not waste my time or yours on game systems with quality so bad, it laughable, nowadays. (Like Atari 2600. )
What's new here and around the emulator world.

//// Under Construction ////
All main pages- Due to the fact that mainy of the pages are poorly constructed or the fact that I never got around to update them, I am redoing ALL my pages.
The Holy War- Who riped who? (Like the layout for the title on Node 99 accendently looks like mine. Ya, right) My account on what I think Node 99 ripped of my cool ideas. (A story from my point of view, what many were requesting during the incedent.)
A list of quality emulator sites - I'll give this one more chance.

What's New??

-- New/Updated Pages:
04/20- We back and boy do I have alot of work to do here!
During the time we were gone, several emulator projects died, (that was not meant as a joke, so stop laughing), and many emulator pages have disapeared. (Including Node99.) With this inmind, it was imperative that I tried to restart this page as a source for emulator based information once again.
Few things to comment on my reconstruction of this page:
1.) I will be putting all updates on a seperate file. I have to because the source code for this page sometimes gets screwed up and I doubt people want to read 4k of the same info each time they log on to this page.
2.) New rules for the request page: Due to poor mismanagent, many requests were lost or mishandled. As a result a new system will be inplace.
3.) Reduced coding: I need to optimize the coding on this page. This file is TOO large for the generial web broswer.
12/04 (old news) - I have been e-mailed that my page is one of the top 10 pages for emulators. Is this true?

-- New/Updated Emulators/ Utilities:
  • 4/20-The Brain's VSMC emulator will be adding soem support. The sound will be based on the .mod sound format. This format requires .wav sound files to act as the instruments. The sound is then played at a faster or slower rate to give it a higher or lower pitch and some other methods I'm not sure of to generate notes of different scale. If recorded with quality, then the sound should have pretty good quality, far better then what an FM based sound board can muster out. Weahter or not the quality will be any better then a wavetable board is based on the qulaity of the recorded sound samples. Speed wise, this method will be much slower then playing the sound though the MIDI chips. Normal recorded sound (White noise?) in the cart will have to be played the normal way.
  • VSWC has been pretty much been abanded by one of the authers, as for the auther in joining the SNES96/97 project. I believe the final version for the MAC (Beta 8. something) is availbe at the VSWC homepage.
  • The rumors of the main auther of Kyoto dieing in a car accident are true.....
In his honor, a group of authersare joining together to write a Genesis emulator in remembrence of him. Anyone interested in joining the project, go here: http://www.cco.net/~chaosknight/No beta testers are needed. And don't ask them for roms. (That's my job. :] )

    -- New Games .
  • 4/20 - The request page is being redone (the way I handle it that is) so reduse the amount of work I must do. If anyone has any diskspace to lend for this purpose, (heck just one 1 meg file is all I'm asking) please
    email me!
2/15(old news) - This page will be host the first Razor BroZ. A.R. Release of quality color sets for gameboy.

    Sonic Stuff

    Exclusive!
As far as I know, I am the first one to publish this info. I'm working on a way to combine Sonic and Knuckles with Sonic 2 and 3 to make use of it's "lock on" technology. I am 50% there. For the meantime, read this text file on how to create a rom image that will play Sonic 3 with the Sonic and Knuckles enhancements! Doing this with Sonic 2 doesn't work at the moment. If you are encountering any problems, or need help, or have any ideas on how to improve on this, E-mail me! The file contains info on how to do it and a theory on why it works.
Info on how to pull-off this trick. (In text format.) Last updated: 2/17/97
